President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has said Ukraine plans to provide expertise to help civilians and US soldiers in countries in the Middle East.
“We have received some messages regarding how to help civilians in the Middle East and how to help American soldiers deployed in certain countries,” Zelenskyy wrote on X, without elaborating on the nature of the messages. “We responded: we will send experts and provide everything needed to protect them.”
Throughout the week, the president has said that US partners have contacted Ukraine for advice on dealing with Iranian weaponry.
In another post, Zelenskyy wrote that he hoped “the war will not be long”, adding that a prolonged conflict would “definitely have an influence on the situation in Ukraine”.
