Zenith Bank Plc has been listed in the World Finance 100 2023 released by World Finance Magazine, making it the only Nigerian company on this esteemed list.

The bank stands out as the sole Nigerian firm and one of three African companies to receive this honour, joining industry giants like Apple, Amazon, and Alphabet.

The World Finance 100 recognizes leading companies across diverse areas of expertise, with selection based solely on outstanding performance and excellence in their respective fields. Zenith Bank’s inclusion highlights its remarkable achievements and sustained success in a highly competitive global market.

Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Group Managing Director/CEO of Zenith Bank Plc, expressed pride in being the single Nigerian company named in the World Finance 100 2023.

He attributed this recognition to the bank’s dedication to its stakeholders, its innovative approach, and its consistent growth, all achieved amidst challenging economic conditions.

Mr Onyeagwu acknowledged the critical role played by the visionary leadership of Zenith Bank’s Founder and Chairman, Jim Ovia, in shaping the institution into a resilient and thriving financial force.

He also commended the board, dedicated staff, and loyal customers for their contributions to the bank’s continued success and the strong trust in the Zenith brand.

He said, “It is with great pride that we acknowledge this feat as the exclusive Nigerian company in the World Finance 100 2023. This accolade is a testament to our unwavering dedication to our valued stakeholders, our innovative spirit, and sustained growth, all achieved amidst the complexities of a challenging economic climate.

“This honour further attests to our status as a leading financial institution that continues to set the industry standard in financial performance, good corporate governance and financial stability.”
