At least 10 persons have died after a charter private jet crashed on an expressway while attempting to land Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
The plane, a Beechcraft Model 390, carrying six passengers and two flight crew, departed from Langkawi International Airport and was headed to Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia said in a statement.
According to reports, the plane crashed into a car and a motorcycle, each carrying one individual.
Police in Malaysia said forensic personnel were in the process of collecting remains and will take them to the hospital for a post-mortem examination and identification process.
Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport said it will conduct an investigation.
Videos and images of the scene taken by Malaysian media showed a burnt section of the highway cordoned off, with smoke in the air.
