11,000 To Benefit From Ebonyi Foundation Medical Outreach

A total of 11, 000 constituents of Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo federal constituency in Ebonyi State will benefit from the ongoing free medical outreach for Dr Nkemkanma Kama Foundation.

The potential beneficiaries of the five-day programme are drawn from 11 communities which cut across the three local governments areas of the constituency.

At the take-off of the outreach at the Oshiri Central School, the member representing Ohaozara/Onicha/Ivo federal constituency, Hon Nkemkanma Kama said the outreach began yesterday in Oshiri and Isu communities in Onicha local government area.

He said medical personnel were on ground to offer various services including eye care with free reading glasses, maternal care, paediatrics, gynaecology, surgical consultation, laboratory investigation and general medical care.

Kama said the outreach was in fulfillment of his campaign promises to his constituents during the election.

Represented by the member representing Onicha East State constituency in the state House or Assembly, Hon Celestine Ogba, he said the programme was in line with the Peoples Charter of Needs of the Governor Ogbonnaya Nwifuru-led administration.

He said, “According to the Peoples Charter of Needs of Governor Francis Nwifuru, health is one of the major needs of the people, so what we are trying to do is to help people in the rural areas access services of modern health care.”
