The Tiwa Savage Music Foundation has facilitated a three-year, fully funded scholarship worth $2 million for 18 Nigerian music professionals at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.

The beneficiaries, comprising singers, songwriters, and producers, were selected following a musicianship intensive programme held in Lagos from April 22 to 26, 2026.

The initiative, held at the National Theatre, saw 120 participants undergo rigorous training in music production, live performance, and the business of music under the tutelage of faculty members from the American institution.

Speaking on the initiative’s impact, the founder, Tiwa Savage, described the selection of the 18 beneficiaries as confirmation of the global competitiveness of Nigerian talent.

“Seeing 18 of our students receive life-changing scholarships to Berklee in Boston is proof that our talent is truly global. This is only the beginning of our mission to ensure that African creatives have the tools, the structure, and the platform to lead the world stage,” she stated.
