I Have Never Experienced A Good Onscreen Kiss— Saga Adeolu

Nollywood actor and reality star, Saga Adeolu, has opened up about the challenges of performing romantic scenes, stating that onscreen kissing feels weird and uncomfortable.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Nolly Icons podcast, Saga dismissed the popular belief that actors enjoy intimate scenes with their colleagues. He explained that such actions are strictly professional and often difficult to execute.

“It is not easy to kiss another actor. It is weird. I have not really had any good onscreen kiss,” he said. “People think we enjoy it, but we don’t. We are just doing it for the story most of the time.”

The actor further described the experience as an invasion of personal space, noting that if given a choice, he would avoid kissing scenes entirely. He recalled a particularly demanding day on set where he had to film kissing scenes with four different actresses.

Saga urged the public to stop judging actors for these roles, suggesting they be commended for their dedication to script interpretation despite the personal discomfort involved.
