18 Students Awarded Scholarships In Tiwa Savage Partnership

Eighteen students have received scholarships worth more than $2 million through a partnership between the Tiwa Savage Music Foundation and Berklee College of Music to study music in Boston, USA.

Organisers said the scholarship programme is designed to help young talents seeking professional training and global exposure in the music industry.

Tiwatope Omolara Savage, professionally known as “Tiwa Savage,” a Nigerian Singer and Songwriter, has always spoken about the importance of investing in young talent.

As an alumna of Berklee College of Music herself, Tiwa Savage designed the initiative to bridge local talent with global opportunities.

The program underwent a series of processes, during which over 2,100 young creatives applied. During the workshop, participants received intensive training in performance, songwriting and production.

The grand finale was held in the National Theatre, Lagos, where 18 talents were selected.

The development has attracted positive reactions across the entertainment industry, with many social media users praising the initiative for supporting education and nurturing young talent.
