Ebonyi State governor, Chief David Umahi, on Tuesday, confirmed that two 80-seater capacity aircraft from the fleet of Air Peace will land land at the Ebonyi State International Cargo Airport on Thursday.

The plane will convey a federal government’s delegation to the State for the commissioning of the Airport and a list of other projects in the State.

Governor Umahi said that the flight is expected to depart the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja at exactly 11am and land in the State as part of the test flight to the completed International Airport.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the State Executive Council meeting held at the New Executive Council Chambers, New Government House, Abakaliki, the governor disclosed that the delegation will be in the state to participate in the commissioning of the numerous projects executed by the present administration.

Governor Umahi stated that apart from the federal government’s delegation, others that will join the flight to the Ebonyi Airport will include Ebonyi indigenes also arriving the state for the epoch-making event.

He said that another 80-seater capacity Air Peace flight will also land at the Airport from Lagos on the same day, adding that the test flights will be carried out having completed all the works at the International Cargo Airport.
