Magistrate Alheri Ishaku remanded the duo and adjourned the case to July 27, 2023 after the defendants admitted to have killed Usman.

Earlier, Inspector Zakka told the court that the defendants attacked the deceased with cutlasses and sticks on June 20, 2023 which led to his death.

While in court, the 1st defendant said, “I had warned him on several occasions to stop going out with my wife, but he refused.”

Tukur said he trailed the victim after he sighted him with his wife whom he married last year, adding that a quarrel ensued between them.

He claimed that it was the deceased who started hitting him with a stick.

The defendant said he was assisted by his younger brother, Ibrahim, where they manhandled his wife’s lover to death and denied using cutlass on him.
