2 Persons Fall Into Lagos Lagoon As Bus Hits 3rd Mainland Bridge Rail

At least two persons were on Wednesday feared drowned as the bus conveying them lost control and hit the rail of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

The accident, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), involved a LT 18-seater bus with registration number FKJ 872 YA.

It was gathered that the crash occurred by Adeniyi Adele axis inward Lagos Island.

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) zonal coordinator, South-West, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the vehicle, which was on a very high speed swerved off the road and hit bridge rails and caused the two passengers to fling off from the vehicle into the lagoon.

Meanwhile, the Marine Police were said to be in search of the two victims, an adult male and female.

He said the other injured passengers had been rushed to the hospital.
