A total of 20 people has died in a road crash and 40 hospitalised in Potiskum town of Yobe State.
The accident occurred yesterday on Nangere-Potiskum Road in the state.
LEADERSHIP gathered that an articulated truck (trailer) loaded with cattle from Buduwa village of Jakusko local government area on its way to Potiskum, rammed into another vehicle.
An eyewitness said, “The trailer was over-speeding and lost control and hit another car which is a Canter model and crushed over 20 people and over 40 injured.”
As of the time of filing this report yesterday, there was no official confirmation from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the security agencies.
