National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Adamu, will on Friday lead dignitaries to a media roundtable on the 2023 general election.
According to a statement by chairman, organizing committee, of the event, Babatunde Ayenihe, the event is part of the annual lecture series of the APC Press Corps.
He said the roundtable will be chaired by a former governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, and hosted by the party’s national publicity secretary, Barr Felix Morka.
Ayeni disclosed that APC chieftain and director general of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, would make a lead presentation titled; “The Press; The Public: Critical Agents for Effective Democratic Deliveries in 2023 and beyond”.
The APC Press Corps, is a platform for accredited representatives of all the major media organisations covering the activities of the ruling party.
According to the organiders, the aim of the event which holds at the ‘Buhari House’, national secretariat of the party, by 9am “is to improve its cordial relationship with the rank and file of the ruling party for better coverage of party policies and programmes, thereby helping to deepen our democracy”.
