The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has expressed commitment to the unity and security of Nigeria.

Speaking on Wednesday at Osun State Peoples Democratic Party presidential campaign rally in Osogbo, Atiku assured Nigerians of his readiness to stabilise Nigeria if elected as president in the coming 2023 general election.

He promised the people of Osun of his support, if elected, to strengthen the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke and assist him to overcome the many challenges he inherited from the APC led government.

The former vice-president said the unity of the country is sacrosanct, adding that the present administration has bastardized everything in Nigeria which, according to him, calls for taking proactive steps before it is too late.

Abubakar further stressed that if elected, he will restructure Nigeria and do everything humanly possible to redeem the lost glory and honour of the country.

Also speaking, Osun State governor Ademola Adeleke said he was highly elated for the show of love on him during the last July 16 election in the state.

Adeleke said: “The experience of the PDP presidential candidate is so enormous, when he served the country as the Vice President, he was the one that stabilized the economy, he made it to grow, we need someone like him to steer the affairs of the country.

“When elected, Nigeria will grow from strength to strength. Emergence of Atiku will unsettle evil in this country because he has the fear of God.

“He will govern Nigeria with rule of law and due process. I have been speaking to him on the issue of security and he promised to find a lasting solution to the challenges. He will end the kidnapping problem in Nigeria.”
