The Network of Clergymen in Nigeria has described the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential standard flag-bearer as most deserving.

The group in a statement signed by its Coordinator General, Joseph Francis, in Benin City on Friday, and made available to journalists, commended what the group described as a democratic process that threw up the former Lagos State governor as the APC candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

The statement reads, “Network of Clergymen in Nigeria warmly and heartily congratulates the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), his Excellency Bola Amhed Tinubu as he emerged the presidential flag bearer of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria.

“For us, we have always pray that as God led you through the tough time and the sweet time in the past will definitely see you through as you are set to take the country from the shackle of darkness where terrorists, banditry, hunger, insecurity, joblessness, that have led millions of Nigerians into desperation of searching for greener pasture elsewhere.
