Baba Ahmed, who made the declaration in Maiduguri yesterday during his consultation visit to stakeholders in Borno State, added that the Nigerian electorate are the structure of the party.

The Labour Party Vice Presidential Candidate said he is on a personal assessment tour of the 13 states in the north, seven North West states, six North East states and Niger State.

“We have structure in Nigeria, people are our structure, what I saw in Sokoto, Adamawa, Gombe and now Borno is an indication that people all over the states are obedient.

“For all intents and purposes, I don’t consider the All Progressives Congress (APC) big, they spent big money anyway, I don’t know how they got that money they are spending, APC is small, they are small, they don’t provide security for my country, they didn’t protect the citizens and they didn’t improve the economy.

“We will make appointments strictly based on merit and credibility if given the mandate. We are going to apply the law of the federation without fear or favour.

“What we don’t do and we are not apologetic is that we are not buying votes, we have shame and principles, we will not do it ,we are not paying for it.
