The Former Governors Forum (FGF) has expressed belief that the New Year 2025 offers Nigerians better opportunities as a people, saying that it sincerely hoped and prayed for a better year for all Nigerians.
In a statement personally signed by the chairman of the Forum and former governor of Niger State, Dr. Muazu Babangida Aliyu (Talban Minna), on Tuesday, FGF thanked the Almighty God for the advent of another year and wished all Nigerians a fruitful, happy and prosperous New Year.
“The Forum notes with gladness that despite the challenges of nation building, the country has remained one indivisible entity. In difficult and good times we as a people march on, we sincerely hope and pray for a better year for all Nigerians.
“The unity that we determinedly uphold as a nation through our interactions, intergroup relations and the values of heterogeneity is a culture that has transcended generations of Nigerians and this we will continue to promote as a body as we enter 2025.
“We equally call on leaders at all levels to promote and accentuate people centered policies for the good of our nation.
“This year 2025 should remind us of our innate capacity as a nation, potentialities of a strategically placed country and a beacon of hope for the black race.
“Former Governors Forum appreciate all Nigerians on this occasion and wish all a happy celebration,” former Governor Aliyu stated.
