Nigeria’s Falconets have commenced training in Ibadan in preparation for their 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup second round, second leg qualifying match against the She-Amavubi of Rwanda. The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan on Saturday.
Moses Aduku’s side secured a 1-0 victory against She-Amavubi in the first leg in Kigali on Sunday, with Alaba Olabiyi scoring the decisive goal in the 70th minute. The players and their officials travelled directly to Ibadan on Monday after arriving from Kigali, where they were welcomed by the Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke.
Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football has appointed Gambian official Ngum Fatou as the referee for Saturday’s match. Her compatriots Jainaba Manneh, Abbie Ceesay, and Isatou Touray will serve as assistant referees, while Jodie Marian Reid Seton from Liberia will act as commissioner.
Egyptian Hayam Mohammed Baraka will be the referee assessor.
