2027: Amadi Vows To Reposition Imo, Unveils Grassroots Mobilisation Drive

Ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Imo State, governance advocate and frontline aspirant, Chima Amadi, has reaffirmed his readiness to reposition the state and unlock its vast economic and human potential if entrusted with leadership.

Amadi made the declaration during the inauguration of the enlarged structure of The Mazi Organization in Owerri, where political associates, community leaders, youth groups and supporters converged in what observers described as a strategic consolidation of his statewide movement.

Addressing the gathering, Amadi said Imo State is endowed with abundant resources, intellectual capital and entrepreneurial energy that have remained largely untapped due to leadership failures.

“Our state is not poor. We are rich in human capital, rich in enterprise, and rich in ideas. What we have lacked is coordinated leadership capable of unlocking this potential and channeling it toward inclusive development,” he said.

The university teacher stressed that his aspiration is driven not by personal ambition but by what he described as a compelling responsibility to reposition Imo on the path of sustainable growth.

“Leadership is fundamentally about problem-solving. I have taken time to study the structural gaps in governance, healthcare, education, infrastructure and youth employment. The solutions are practical, achievable and measurable,” Amadi stated.

He noted that the formal inauguration of the expanded TMO structure signals a transition from broad consultations to organized grassroots mobilization across the 27 local government areas of the state.

“Today is not just an inauguration; it is a declaration that the movement for a new Imo is structured, organized and ready. We are building from the grassroots upward. Every ward and every community must be part of this renewal,” he added.

Amadi pledged that his administration would prioritize economic revitalization, institutional reforms and youth empowerment, stressing that governance must be transparent, accountable and performance-driven.

“Our focus will be on building a productive economy where small businesses thrive, investors feel secure and young people can build their future at home. Imo must move from survival to prosperity,” he assured.

While refraining from direct criticism of political opponents, Amadi warned against electoral malpractice and urged citizens to safeguard their votes during the 2027 Imo Governorship Election.

“The will of the people must prevail. Democracy only works when votes count. Our commitment is to a peaceful, credible and people-driven electoral process,” he said.

The event also featured the unveiling of new coordinators across local government areas and wards, underscoring what insiders described as a deliberate strategy to deepen grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 race.
