The Betara Youth Awareness Forum in Shani, Borno State, has declared its unshaken support for Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara, affirming that the federal lawmaker remains the best choice for the Biu/Bayo/Kwaya-Kusar/Shani federal constituency seat.

The forum’s coordinator, Mr Etham Ebal, made this known in Shani while speaking to reporters about the lawmaker’s consistent track record of impactful representation and development-driven projects across the constituency.

“If elections were to be conducted today, we are fully prepared to give our total support to Hon. Betara without hesitation, his works are visible everywhere—from infrastructure to education, healthcare, youth empowerment and community development. He has never turned his back on the people.”

Mr Ebal described Hon. Betara as a tireless leader who is deeply committed to solving the problems affecting his constituents. He praised the lawmaker’s hands-on approach to governance, which he said has led to meaningful changes in the lives of residents, especially in rural areas like Shani.

“Betara is not just a politician. He is a problem solver and a servant of the people. He always listens and acts. That’s why we, the youth, are standing solidly behind him,” he added.

According to the coordinator, Betara’s development strides in the constituency have earned him admiration beyond political lines. Projects such as the construction of a modern mini-stadium in Shani, the provision of solar-powered streetlights and boreholes, and consistent youth empowerment programmes are only a few examples of his service.

“Betara is a well-deserved representative of our constituency. He is not waiting for campaign periods to show concern; he has always been there, working hard for us,” Mr Ebal emphasised.

The Betara Youth Awareness Forum, made up of young professionals, students, and grassroots mobilizers across the Shani local government area, has been a strong voice in community advocacy and youth engagement. The group said it would continue to rally support for the lawmaker as long as he remains committed to the development of the people.

Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara, who has represented the constituency since 2007, currently serves as Chairman of the house committee on FCT. He is widely celebrated for his extensive intervention projects across the four local government areas he represents, earning him the status of a dependable and transformative legislator.
