A coalition of supporters of Bauchi State governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to pick their principal as his running mate in the 2027 general election.

The group, under the banner of Kaura Diehard Supporters in Bauchi State, made the appeal in a statement issued yesterday by its chairman, Mustafa Abdullahi Duguri.

Duguri described Bala Mohammed as a transformational leader with proven political value and a strong record in infrastructure development, insisting that he is well-suited for the Office of Vice President of Nigeria.

According to the group, the governor has delivered significant progress in Bauchi State through people-oriented policies and good governance, earning him recognition as one of the most outstanding leaders in the North East zone.

It argued that Bala Mohammed’s willingness to align with the ruling party, despite challenges, demonstrates loyalty and commitment that should be rewarded with the vice presidential slot.

“Governor Bala has carved a niche for himself as a performing leader in the North East. We are confident that he has the capacity to deliver the region for Mr President in 2027,” the chairman stated.

The group also emphasised his achievements in infrastructural development, noting that his performance in Bauchi State has prepared him for higher national responsibility

It added that members of the coalition are ready to mobilise massive grassroots support, including a proposed 10-million-man march, in backing a Tinubu/Bala joint ticket in the 2027 general election.
