A chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hon. Baba Adamu, has said he is ready to represent the party as its governorship candidate in Kaduna State in the 2027 general election, promising to deliver security, economic prosperity, and inclusive governance if elected.

His declaration officially signals the commencement of his campaign for the Kaduna State governorship election under the NNPP ahead of the 2027 polls, setting the stage for what promises to be a keenly contested race.

In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja, the governorship aspirant said his decision to enter the race was driven by a deep commitment to the development, unity, peace, and prosperity of Kaduna State.

He stated that his extensive leadership experience and engagement with communities across the state have given him firsthand insight into the challenges confronting the people and the urgent need for a government that prioritises the welfare of its citizens.

Adamu outlined key areas that would form the cornerstone of his administration, including security, job creation, youth and women empowerment, quality education, improved healthcare delivery, agricultural transformation, and industrial development.

According to him, Kaduna State possesses enormous potential that can be harnessed through visionary leadership, strategic planning, and inclusive policies.

“My vision is to restore hope, strengthen security, create employment opportunities, empower our youth and women, improve education and healthcare, promote agriculture and industrial development, and ensure that every community enjoys the dividends of democracy,” he said.

The NNPP governorship hopeful emphasised that his administration would be founded on fairness, justice, and equal opportunities for all citizens, irrespective of ethnicity, religion, or political affiliation.

He explained that his political movement, tagged “Restoration 2027,” is aimed at rebuilding public confidence in government institutions and laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth and development across Kaduna State.

Adamu called on party faithful, traditional rulers, community leaders, stakeholders, and residents of the state to support his aspiration, assuring them of transparent, accountable, and people-oriented leadership.

“I humbly seek the support, prayers, and cooperation of all party members, stakeholders, and the good people of Kaduna State as we embark on this journey of Restoration 2027. Together, we can restore Kaduna, rebuild confidence, and secure a brighter future for generations to come,” he stated.

The aspirant expressed optimism that Kaduna State could reclaim its position as a leading centre of economic growth, education, agriculture, and peaceful coexistence through collective effort and responsible governance.
