2027: Party Chieftains Declare Support For Tinubu, Alabi

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, prominent leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Egbeda/Ona Ara federal constituency in Oyo State have declared their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for the member of the House of Representatives representing the federal constituency, Akin Alabi, in 2027.

The APC chieftains and members made the declaration during the launch of ‘Friends of Akin Alabi for Tinubu 2027’ at the weekend in Alaakia, Ibadan.

In his address at the launch of the mobilisation platform, Alabi, who is the chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Works, declared that the duo of former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku and a former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi,  have no idea about the Nigerian economy.

He noted that the duo cannot do more than President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing, saying that Atiku and Obi, or any other candidates, cannot withstand Tinubu.

He said the group is a grassroots volunteer movement dedicated to the continuity of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda.

Alabi said, “We are here for the official presentation of Friends of Akin Alabi for Tinubu 2027. We have been doing the background work all this time while registering volunteers.

“We are trying to raise 20,000 volunteers to work for Tinubu in Egbeda/ Ona Ara federal constituency. You can see thousands of people. It shows that the people of the federal constituency are ready to re-elect President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“For those who understand the economy, there are micro and macroeconomic policies. Tinubu said no more subsidy. He is trying to restructure the economy. Virtually all the presidential candidates in 2023 said they will remove the subsidy.

“They all said that they are going to remove fuel subsidy, they all said that they are going to float the naira. Asiwaju has been doing that. Everybody who understands the economy will know that Nigeria’s economy is on track.

Coordinator, Friends of Akin Alabi for Tinubu 2027”, Okuwatosin Oluwadara, while addressing the gathering, noted that the group was formed in order to achieve a goal.

He said, “A common goal to move our communities forward.  A common goal is to strengthen grassroots leadership. And a common goal to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.

Former chairman of Ona Ara local government area, Ismaila Akanni, while speaking, noted that those who are aspiring in 2027 cannot match Tinubu’s achievements.

A chieftain of the party from Ona Ara local government area, Bola Fawole, noted that there is no vacancy in both Aso Rock and Egbeda and Ona Ara local government areas.

He said, “As for Tinubu, there is no vacancy, and there is no vacancy in Egbeda and Ona Ara federal constituency.
