2027: We’re Expecting 800k Votes From Ekiti, North Will Fully Deliver Tinubu – Yari

Director-General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has said the party and council is looking for 800,000 votes from Ekiti state in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

Yari said this while speaking at the APC presidential campaign rally in Ado Ekiti, the Ekiti state capital on Thursday.

The former Zamfara governor assured the people of Ekiti that if with their total support President Bola Tinubu is re-elected, he would more for the South Western state.

Yari said the North where he hailed from is ready to fully support the re-election of President Tinubu(from A-Z), considering his contribution to the economic and political development of the region.

According to him, the President has kept his promises to Ekiti as evident in the introduction of schools, universities, roads, education, support to youths, women empowerment, among others.

“Ekiti people, I have a question for you. Last time, Asiwaju as a candidate in 2022, asked you to vote for the Governor, and you voted for him. And he requested to vote for him himself. Ekiti gave 80%. Today, out of 1,080,000 voter registration and PVCs collected is over 900,000, I want to ask a question.

“This is my request, and by extension, of course, of the President to you. We are looking for 800,000 votes, representing about 90%. This is why I said this 90%. It was just now.

“Governor, our message to you, to Ekiti leaders, our message is to tell Ekiti people, the President has done so well. Therefore, we are looking for over 800,000 votes in Ekiti.

“Do you know what’s going to happen after doing this? The President promised to do more and more and more for Ekiti people. And from where I come, let me give you the good news.

“We in Northern Nigeria, Bola is more of us than you in Ekiti, than you in Ondo, than you in Oyo, than you in Osun, than you in Lagos. Bola Ahmed supported our children, supported our people to become number one citizens in this country up to three times.

“So, we in the north, we are ready for Asiwaju 2027 and we are going to deliver him from A to Z. Ekiti people, where we are today, the message is, the labour of this great man, democrat, cannot go in vain.
We know what happened in 2022, but God, in His mercy, brought him as a leader in this country,” he said.

Yari noted that the opposition has nothing to do differently even if it is given the mantle of leadership, stressing the need to re-elect Tinubu for the consolidation of the positive reforms his administration introduced.

“What is the opposition going to do different than what we are having today? Government bring down the inflation. The high price of food reduced to over 50%. What are they going to do differently?

“As we promised Nigerians, we are going to campaign with our numbers, with what we have done for Nigerians. Based on that, Nigerians, we requested them to give us a second chance and by God’s grace, Nigerians are convinced. We are not AI product people. We are saying the truth.

“All the numbers are there, ranging from inflation, ranging from exchange rate, ranging from balance of trade. All of them are there for anyone to go and take. So, the progress we made so far, what the opposition are they going to do different? That is the question we are sending to them. If they have answers, we are waiting for their answers,”he added.
