2027: Yobe Youth Forum Endorses Consensus Gubernatorial Candidate

Yobe Youth Forum has affirmed the endorsement of the All Progressives Congress APC critical stakeholders’ consensus gubernatorial aspirant for the 2027 General election, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali MNI.

The APC gubernatorial aspirant was endorsed by the forum’s Chairman, Dr Mohammad Alkali Dilala, at a press briefing held at the NUJ secretariat in Damaturu.

Following wide consultations and careful consideration, the youths in Yobe State express total and unwavering support for the gubernatorial aspirant endorsed by Governor Mai Mala Buni, alongside leaders and stakeholders of the party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to the Chairman, this position was not taken lightly. It is the outcome of deliberate engagement among youth groups, communities, and stakeholders who share a common vision for the continuity, stability, and sustained development of Yobe State.

The forum, according to him, is fully aware that Nigeria operates a democratic system that guarantees every qualified individual the right to contest for public office, and it respects this constitutional right and acknowledges the aspirations of other contenders.

Dilala said However, as critical stakeholders and the backbone of electoral participation, the youth forum believes that the endorsement of the former Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, MNI, as the party’s Flag bearer is an appropriate, timely, and strategic decision that reflects experience, capacity, and alignment with the development trajectory already established in the state by Governor Mai Mala Buni.

The Chairman further highlighted that youths in Yobe State are not mere spectators but partners in progress, and pledged their total loyalty to Governor Mai Mala Buni, whose leadership has consistently been prioritising youth inclusion, empowerment, and opportunity, pointing out that the administration has laid a solid foundation upon which future progress can be confidently built.

In light of this, the forum wishes to state categorically that they are united and prepared to translate this support into decisive votes at the polls in favour of the endorsed aspirant.

The forum calls on youths across the state to remain peaceful, focused, and law-abiding throughout the political process towards a stronger and more prosperous Yobe State.
