The former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Mohammed Adamu Abubakar, has threatened to exit the All Progressives Congress (APC) if his appeal over the alleged injustice done to him during the just concluded primary is not addressed.

Addressing journalists on Saturday in Lafia, the former police chief alleged that the outcome of the primary was altered in favour of the government’s preferred candidate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada at the last minute, adding that he won with landslide.

He noted that the declaration of Wadada as the winner of the poll did not receive the blessings of 90 percent of the APC members and stakeholders in the state because of the alleged irregularities that trailed the exercise.

He therefore urged the appeal committee and the party’s national leadership to upturn the outcome in his favour as the winner of the poll, while expressing confidence that he will get justice.

He, however, vowed that if the party leadership failed to do justice in the matter, he is open to join another political party to realize his ambition.

“Should justice prevail, we shall continue our journey within the APC. However, If justice is denied we shall communicate to you the next line of action and the political platform under which we shall contest the 2027 governorship race,’ he stated.
