21 Players Land In Turkey For Super Eagles’ Friendlies

The Super Eagles camp in Antalya, Turkey, is rapidly filling up as preparations intensify for the team’s upcoming international friendlies against Iran and Jordan.

As of Wednesday evening, the squad has swelled to 21 players, with the latest arrivals including several key figures expected to play pivotal roles in the two fixtures.

Ademola Lookman, the reigning CAF Men’s Player of the Year was among the new faces to check into the team’s Mediterranean base. He was joined by defender Igoh Ogbuh, midfield anchor Raphael Onyedika, and the experienced left-back Zaidu Sanusi.

Their arrival injects a significant boost of experience and tactical flexibility into the camp, providing head coach Éric Chelle with a near-complete squad to work with ahead of the first test.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed that the contingent is expected to reach full capacity shortly, with just two more players still awaited. The team officially opened camp on Tuesday, and Chelle is set to oversee the first high-intensity training session later this evening.

The session will be crucial for the new coach to implement his tactical philosophy and assess the fitness levels of the squad after their travels.
