This is even as the management of LEADERSHIP Media Group has assured the group of its full support and backing in their activities.

A representative of the LEADERSHIP team, led by its managing editor, Raliat Ahmed-Yusuf, assured the group of coverage and visibility of its activities in the paper.

Speaking when the NDSG team visited the corporate headquarters of LEADERSHIP, the chairman, advisory board of the group, HRM, Alfred Diete-Spiff, who was represented by the chairman proponent, Dr. Kletsaint Akor said they were at LEADERSHIP to seek adequate media support, among other things in the planned programme for the 25 years uninterrupted democratic government in Nigeria.

Akor also said the first leg of the one week-long event will start with an event on Wednesday, where a book with nine different titles will be presented.

According to him, “We are rolling out different events for the programme of celebrating half a century of uninterrupted democratic governance in Nigeria. We will be presenting a book with nine different titles.”

Speaking on the group’s level of involvement in political issues, the group said they have always participated in National Assembly public hearings on important national issues.

Akor further said the NDSG, as a pro-democracy group and a non-state actor, is against military take over in some African countries and urged regional bodies like ECOWAS and African Union to work towards resolving the issues there.
