In a resolute commitment to fostering enduring peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta region, Chief Dennis Otuaro, PhD, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), reaffirmed the program’s alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s visionary agenda.

The affirmation coincided with the announcement by Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, the Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, of 26 PAP scholarship students achieving first-class honors.

During his visit to Igbinedion University, Okada, and Benson Idahosa University, Benin, in Edo State, Chief Otuaro emphasized the crucial role of the Presidential Amnesty Programme in consolidating peace in the Niger Delta.

He reiterated the need for effective implementation to garner support for the Federal Government’s initiatives in the region.

Chief Otuaro stated, “President Bola Tinubu’s vision underscores the importance of sustaining peace in the Niger Delta. Through the Presidential Amnesty Programme, we are dedicated to strengthening confidence in the region and bolstering support for federal initiatives.”

Acknowledging Igbinedion University’s pioneering role in accepting PAP scholarship students, Chief Otuaro commended their contribution to the program’s success. He emphasized the program’s commitment to expanding collaborations to enhance its impact.

Interacting with PAP scholarship students, Chief Otuaro assured them of addressing their challenges while urging them to prioritize their studies and shun social vices.

Prof. Ezemoye highlighted the remarkable achievements of PAP scholarship students, noting significant contributions to various professional fields.
