Three suspected electricity transformer vandals have been burnt to death by a mob at Igweledoha Amagu in Ikwo local government area of Ebonyi State.
The suspects including the son of a late traditional ruler in the area, were accused of vandalising transformers in Igweledoha, Ndufu Amata and Ekawoke, all in Ikwo.
An eyewitness said luck ran out on them by 2:00am yesterday when they were caught with some transformer parts.
He said they were five but two escaped while three were meted with jungle justice.
He said the mob felt the police would release them after a while, which would allow them return to continue with their nefarious activities, hence the decision to execute jungle justice.
Police public relations officer, Chris Anyanwu, said he was yet to receive the report.
