Themed ‘Poetry In A Time of Crisis’ this second edition of the festival will focus on poetry crafted around or about a crisis, whether physical conflict, economic or internal crisis. It will also explore how poetry serves as a means of advocacy, enlightenment, healing and resilience amidst local or global economic or political uncertainties.

Deadline for submissions is July 11. Meantime, selected works will be published in an anthology to be launched at the festival.

An offshoot of the Poetic Wednesday Initiative founded by Salim Yunusa which is dedicated to the promotion of literary activities in northern Nigeria. KAPFEST 2025 is curated by Nasiba Babale and Yunusa.
