The benefiting graduates were trained in 12 different areas of skills which include electrical installation, welding and fabrication, air conditioning and refrigeration, fashion design as well as carpentry amongst others at the state government-owned Wing Commander Abdullahi Ibrahim Vocational and Technical Institute in Lafia,

Governor Sule while presenting the certificates and cash to the graduates, said the gesture was in fulfilment of his promise to them during the 6th, 7th and 8th combined convocation of the University in February, 2024.

The governor stated that training programme is a deliberate effort to ensure that the graduates do not have to go through the rigours of seeking for nonexistent jobs, but become self-sustaining and even become employers of labour.

Last year 33 first class students of the Nasarawa State University, Keffi received similar entrepreneurship training and got one million naira each as start-up grant.
