In a heartfelt celebration of his 57th birthday anniversary, the Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr. Paul Enenche, on Wednesday, June 4, donated a borehole, organised a large-scale medical outreach, and empowered hundreds of widows and less-privileged persons in Sabon Iddo village of Abuja.

The celebration took a humanitarian turn as Dr. Enenche, accompanied by his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, commissioned a new borehole at Sabo Iddo, providing residents with access to clean and safe drinking water. The initiative was part of a broader outreach programme that included free medical services and the distribution of food and relief materials to those in need.

“What better way to celebrate life than by giving life?” Dr. Enenche declared during the commissioning ceremony. “As I marked another year of God’s faithfulness, it was laid on my heart to give back in a way that will keep blessing lives long after the candles are out. Today, I had the joy of commissioning a borehole water tap and welfare for a precious community. This is not just water; it’s a flow of hope, health, and love.”

Addressing the crowd at the dedication site, Dr. Enenche reminded the villagers of the divine purpose behind the outreach.

“It takes the mercy and love of God to be alive,” he said. “God’s love and mercy have brought us here to show appreciation. After we minister to you with the borehole, medical care, food, and relief materials, it is also important for your spirit and soul to have a relationship with God.”

The pastor led the attendees in a prayer of salvation, encouraging a deeper connection with faith and community unity.

Medical professionals at the outreach treated numerous cases, including hypertension, diabetes, childhood diarrhoea, vulvovaginitis, intestinal infections, peptic ulcer disease, malaria, and chronic waist pain. The medical aid offered critical relief to residents, many of whom have limited access to healthcare.

Simultaneously, over 514 widows, 10 orphanage homes, and several children gathered at the Dunamis Church headquarters in Abuja for a special empowerment programme. Food items and various relief materials were distributed as part of Dr. Enenche’s birthday celebration.

Speaking at the event, David Abu Ozigi, Head of the Welfare Department of Dunamis, emphasized the church’s ongoing commitment to demonstrating God’s love through service.

“The Dunamis Commission worldwide is in celebration mood today as we give glory and honour to the Almighty God for giving us a shepherd indeed,” he said. “Our Shepherd, Dr. Pst Paul Enenche, is the reason for this gathering. What we are doing today is his passion, and it gives him enormous joy whenever the principles of God are practiced.”

Ozigi revealed that the borehole project was initiated after a detailed needs assessment showed that Sabo Iddo lacked adequate access to potable water.

“We acknowledge the fact that access to clean water is a necessity and critical to the well-being of communities,” he stated. “This project is a modest effort to increase the availability of safe drinking water, thereby preventing waterborne diseases and promoting overall well-being.”

He called on the Sabo Iddo community to reciprocate the gesture with unity and reverence for God.

“These acts of charity are a tangible reflection of God’s infinite love for humanity. We implore the members of the community to reciprocate this love of God by fearing Him, loving one another, and living at peace with one another. May the Lord bless the entire community and cause more good things to always happen here in Jesus’ name.”

Dr. Enenche concluded his remarks with a call for continued compassion and generosity.

“Let’s keep making Jesus known: one act of love at a time. To God alone be all the glory!”
