The visit which took place April 18 to 20th is a part of the association president’s nationwide working and consultation visit which had him Abuja and Delta State.

It saw the President of the association, Israel Eboh Fta, visit the Department of Theatre and Film Studies, University of Africa, Toru-Orua (UAT), the Niger Delta University (NDU), and the Bayelsa State Council for Arts & Culture.

The purpose of the visits is the strengthening of NANTAP membership in the state, and the easy migration of theatre arts practitioners from the academics to the professional field.

Thus, the visit to both the UAT and NDU saw to the finalization processes to establishing NANTAP Chapels in both universities and the presentation of certificates of membership to concerned persons; while the visit to the state council for arts and culture – resulted in staff members registration and participation as members of the state’s chapter of NANTAP.

Announcing the visitation, a success, Eboh said it will strengthen the association’s presence in Bayelsa amongst theatre arts academia and the professionals in the state, and the council.

“Among other things, Bayelsa State Chapter of NANTAP in collaboration with the state government will play host to a major activity of the association before the year runs out.”
