It’s A Complex Matter: The Contract That Never Fixes The Problem

Of course any volunteer would be stunned and astonished! After all, he is offering help for free as well as contributing towards development, why should he have to pay someone so he can do good for the community? Confusing right? Even residents in that area dare not carry out any acts of philanthropy or make the roads leading to their houses better. Then it gets even more twisted and do you know why?

It’s because of the reasons behind this dubious act. The man in charge of that area is expecting his share of the fat contract, a fat contract that he would dubiously benefit from. Once the contract comes, he gets his share from the contractor, and this is after the contractor has already given out a chunk to the awarder of the contract who happens to be in government and responsible for fixing that road with a certain amount allocated by government for it.

It doesn’t end there, now the contractor has a choice to either fix the road with substandard resources, or leave it as it is.
