The new assistant inspector-general of police (AIG), Zone 2 , Ali Mohammed, has warned criminals especially land speculators in Lagos and Ogun states, to steer clear of the areas or face the full wrath of the law.

Mohammed who dangled the axe in Lagos while speaking with journalists promised the criminals “hell” if they refused to quit the two states under his jurisdiction.

He promised to  arrest and prosecute individuals no matter how highly placed that get involved in cases of armed robbery, land grabbing, kidnapping and other crminal activities to serve as a deterrent to others.

The AIG also hinted that all pending cases of criminality and petitions will be treated with dispatch in order to ensure that criminals and their sponsors are  brought to book.
