The Centre for Media Policy and Accountability (CMPA), has urged reporters covering corruption and Anti-Corruption Agencies (ACAs) in Nigeria to support the implementation of Nigeria Anti-Corruption Performance Public Reporting (NAPPR), project.

The NAPPR is a project funded by MacArthur Foundation and implemented by CMPA 2023-2024.

In a parley with journalists on Monday, the director of Communication, Outreach and Advocacy, CMPA, Ibrahim Yusuf, said the roundtable, which had in attendance over 25 journalists from broadcast, print and online media, was part of the advocacy.

Executive director CMPA and project manager, Dr Suleiman Suleiman, said there were disparities in reporting anti-corruption cases by reporters and media organizations and attributed this to absent of a harmonised reporting template.

He further said at the end of the project, “we will produce a harmonize reporting template for media and the anti-corruption agencies.”
