One of the astonishing sights on the earth is the number of aircraft that fly in the sky, yet there is enough space for them all, regardless of size.

It is equally God’s grand and perfect design for all high-flyers; there is sufficient space for as many, who are determined to be up there at the very top.

This is the working mentality of young and thriving music artiste Okolie Destiny, who is fondly known as Amas Destiny. A blossoming artiste, with rapid following in the country, as well as outside the shores of the country, Amas is a perfect blend of Afrocentrism and all he does is to wow with the box guitar sitting on his thighs during musical performances.

The emergence of Amas Destiny on the big stage in the music industry is a reflection of how hard he has worked his socks off to achieve what he has always dreamed of when growing up as a kid. He might not be at his final destination yet, but the road is looking like what he had always wanted.

Destiny comes from a family of six and as the first child of his loving parents, no other option was on the card than to demonstrate to his younger siblings that the road to success may sometimes be tough and tasking but it certainly leads to a fulfilling end for the ones who were diligent and uncompromising. The Delta-born singer left his home in Benin City, where he was raised with his younger ones to chase his dream of becoming a known artiste in Lagos.

Born on October 20, 1997, Amas Destiny holds a Higher National Diploma from the popular Federal Polytechnic, Auchi in Edo State, after which he relocated to Nigeria’s own Hollywood, the Centre of Excellence, to pur

“I started my professional music in 2020, when I had to use a recording studio to record some songs”, he said.

Less than three years after his first studio session, Amas Destiny has been on tour around the continent to promote his hit song, ‘Is this love’, which he recorded in 2022. In March this year, he was in four cities in Rwanda, including the capital, Kigali, to serenade his African fans and build connections in East Africa.

“It was nice touring that part of the continent and knowing things about their kind of music, and also making friends with famous Rwanda artistes. I intend to collaborate with some of the artistes I met over there,” Destiny noted.

Speaking on how he gets inspiration to write his lyrics, the song writer noted that life events are more than enough inspiration. Judging from his background, Amas stressed that the ultimate aim for him is survival in life.

“My songs are inspired by alot of things happening in the lives of people. So I get to turn it into message to make great impact in the lives of others. My greatest moltivation has always been just trying to survive and to make a good name in the society,” he said.

Amas Destiny mentioned Davido, Asake, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Wizkid, Don Jazzy, Asake as artistes who aroused the talent in him, adding that if he has the chance to collaborate with any of them, it will be Asake.

Having risen from grass to grace, Amas Destiny in March partnered with an entertainment outfit to distribute food items to underserved Nigerians. He described the opportunity to help those in need as a “privilege”.

“I was happy that i was privileged by God and I believe that by help less privileged people in our communities that we can reduce hardship and poverty and add value to the society,” he stated.
