Boss Mustapha Donates Hilux Vans, Motorcycles To Police

Immediate past secretary to the government of the federation (SGF) Boss Mustapha has donated two operational Hilux vehicles and 24 motorcycles for improved surveillance to tackle insecurity in Hong LGA of Adamawa State.

Presenting the vehicles on behalf of the former SGF, Barrister Alheri Bulus Nyako, acting chairman, Kilba Elders Forum, urged the police and the hunters’ groups to put in their best in the protection of the community with other security formations.

Nyako said the support is in recognition of the tremendous efforts of the police and other security formations in protecting the local government area.

“There is no better support to give the police at this point in time than mobility”.

He lauded the Inspector General of Police for giving out the vehicles to the former SGF, which was shared to Divisional Police Headquarters Hong and Garaha Police Unit.

Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the NPF, state commissioner of police, Afolabi Babatola, assured the Zah community, recently attacked by insurgents, that despite the attack the government is committed to protecting them.

The CP stressed that the Garaha Police Unit would be upgraded and other outpost police stations  reopened across the state.

“All the outpost police stations would be reopened at once. We want to start with upgrading of Garaha Police station to make sure we have more personnels.”

The CP, urged the community to support security agencies with useful information that can lead to the arrest of criminals.

The chairman Hong local government area, Usman Wa’aganda and leader of the hunters, Musa Gwanki, appreciated the support and assured judicious use of the items.
