Addressing journalists shortly after the Command’s weekly press briefing, the Police image maker, DSP Chidi Nwabuzor, also said the arrested suspects will be paraded on a later date alongside other notorious kidnap suspects and armed robbers in its custody.

He told journalists that the three homosexuals were arrested at different hideouts in Benin City, the State capital following an intelligence report the Command received and consequently swung into action to apprehend them.

Nwabuzor called on the members of the public to assist the Police with information that would enable them to go after criminal elements and the other homosexuals at large in the State, adding that the Command was determined to make the State inhabitable for criminals.

Recall that Harrison Izekor and others were part of an homosexual ring, who earlier escaped from Police custody.

lzekor had escaped from Police custody on the way to the hospital and was arrested and awaiting trial in Oko Prison in Benin City where he later escaped in a jailbreak during the EndSARS riots in the State in October, 2020.
