Recall that weeks leading to the inauguration of the Otti administration, there were widespread reports of looting of government property including office equipment, vehicles, and other valuables across the state.

On assumption of office, Kalu had issued a statement directing the return of the items on or before 4pm on Tuesday, June 6, warning that failure to comply with it would attract severe sanction.

“Anyone who is in possession of government property is hereby directed to return such to the office of the secretary to the state government and obtain the necessary acknowledgement,” it said.
