A foundation committed to improving the welfare of underserved populations, Muslims Around the World Project, has distributed Eid-el-Kabir beef to vulnerable and poor persons in Bauchi.
LEADERSHIP gathered that the foundation slaughtered and packaged 100 goats, sheep and ram and distributed the same to orphans and women in Yuli and Inkil communities of Bauchi local government area.
The country representative of Muslims Around the World Project in Nigeria, Niger, Mali and Guinea Conakry, Dr Uwaimir Abubakar Dandada said the meat distribution was part of the plans of the foundation to support poor persons during this year’s Eid-el Kabir festivities.
He said more support for the poor and vulnerable populations in the state are in the pipeline.
He added that the foundation aims at reducing the difficulties and hardships poor and vulnerable persons encounter notably around festive periods.
