A popular supporter of President Bola Tinubu in the All Progressives Congress in Itire-Ikate LCDA of Surulere local government area of Lagos State, Hon. Aofolajuwonlo Folusho, has chastised opposition parties for distracting the new government with the daily drama coming from the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
In an address to the media, the APC executive said Nigeria is in safe hands with President Bola Tinubu, and members of the opposition should let him get on with the job of delivering on his promises to the electorate.
Folusho directed his disapproval specifically to the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, for dragging the country through the unnecessary court challenge against the victory of the president at this year’s general elections.
He said; “The political process embarked upon by Asiwaju Tinubu, our president will encourage meaningful participation of a plurality of political interests in the country. Anyone with knowledge of history will recognise the high level of progress and advancement recorded in Lagos over the past two decades.
“With Tinubu at the helm of affairs, Nigeria is in safe hands. He had it before, he knows how to grow economies and foster political development.”
The president, he added, will deliver on his promise of good governance, provide social amenities and put infrastructure in place.
Folusho said, “It is not reasonable to hold Nigerians to ransom by not allowing the president to enjoy his victory at the polls. The PDP and Labour Party should go back and resolve the conflicts in their political parties.
Nigerians, he said, should be patient and practical with their expectations from the government.
“Tinubu has the vitality and personality to enhancement meaningful development in the next eight years,” he added.
