Ukrainian Varsity Inducts Deputy Speaker, 49 Others Into Council Of Fellows

Deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu and 49 other Nigerians have been inducted into the council of fellows of Karazin School of International Relations and Travel Business of V. N Karazin Kharkiv National University,  Ukraine.

The development is part of the university’s move to strengthen bilateral relations with Nigeria in the area of education and human capital development.

At the induction oath of allegiance taking ceremony held in Abuja, the deputy speaker who was represented by member representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani federal constituency, Cross River State, Bassey Akiba extolled the university for finding them worthy of the fellowship.

According to Kalu, “I want to thank the school on behalf of my principal for the good work they have been doing beyond Nigeria as a country, a lot has been done to Nigeria in terms of business relationship”.

To qualify as follows, the university representative in Nigeria, Dr Cliff Ogbede, said a participant must be a graduate or must have acquired a minimum of 20 years’ experience in managing an organisation for non-graduate who seek to be a fellow.

Ogbede charged the fellows to be good ambassadors while maintaining the ethos and the ethics of the V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

“It took quite a lot of months to register these participants all in our quest to make sure we strengthen bilateral cooperation between Nigeria and Ukraine in the area of education, we are very happy that our people have learned quite a lot of things that will encourage them to run their businesses run organisations effectively especially as the world is changing”, Ogbede told journalists on the sidelines of the event.
