Leading the pack from its roster is Afrobeats titan, Davido, who bagged 5 nominations, scoring 2 each for ‘Stand Strong’ and his feature on ‘Electricity’. The superstar, who is currently on tour, also earned a nod for his latest album, ‘Timeless’, under the best album category.

Victony, who recently released two singles “My darling” and “angelus” secured four nominations with ‘Soweto’, tapped for the “Best Recording of the Year” and “Viewers’ Choice” categories. He will seek to edge out other stars for the ‘Album of the Year’ and the highly coveted ‘Next Rated’ awards.

Other nominees managed by The Plug include internationally acclaimed afro-fusion star, Ckay, who features in the “Best R&B Single” for his hit track “MMADU”; South African sensation, Focalistic, who is nominated for ‘Best Southern African Artiste of the Year’, and Alte music trailblazer, BOJ, who also gained two nominations for ‘Best Alternative Song’ and “Best Alternative Album.”
