Police Probe Death Of Kebbi Varsity Student

The Kebbi State police command has commenced an investigation into the death of Zaharadeen Nuhu, a 300-Level student of the Federal University in Birnin Kebbi.

In a statement by the command’s spokesman, SP Bashir Usman issued to journalists yesterday in Birnin Kebbi, the incident occurred on Thursday within a private compound in Kalgo local government area of Kebbi State.

Preliminary investigation by the command indicated that the victim was found with injuries and was immediately rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital, Birnin Kebbi where he was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.     The command urged students of the university and residents of Kalgo to remain calm as security personnel were deployed to scene over the incident.
