Abia State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has endorsed the state government’s declaration of state of emergency on environmental cleanliness in the state.

The chapter chairman and secretary, Emmanuel Agomuo and Mgbahuru Emmanuel respectively in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP, yesterday, in Umuahia, the state capital, said the declaration was timely.

The statement appealed to the members and the general public to imbibe the virtues of cleanliness in their homes, places of worship and businesses for healthy living.

CAN said every hand must be on the deck to achieve the present administration’s zero tolerance for filthy homes, work places, and the environment in general.
