Eberechi Eze is being considered for a place in England’s Euro 2024 squad. He made his internationalv breakthrough at the end of last season, earning his first call-up for the Euro qualifiers abasing Malta and North Macedonia, making his England debut in Valletta.
And sources at St George’s Park have indicated that Eze made a major impact on head coach, Gareth Southgate, during the previous camp.
Indeed, Southgate is now keen to have a closer look at Eze in the months ahead of Euro 2024.
Provided Eze can maintain his excellent end of season form; Southgate is likely to give the attacking midfielder another chance to impress for September’s games of England versus Ukraine and Scotland.
Eze scored a brilliant goal in Palace’s 4-0 win over Crawley on Wednesday to provide an early sign that he will start the season in a similar vein to the way he ended the 2022/23 campaign.
