During the commemoration held in Lagos on Tuesday, Mr. Alawuba reaffirmed the bank’s unwavering commitment to enhancing customer experience and expressed optimism for even greater achievements for both customers and shareholders in the future.

The ‘UBA 4.0 Team’, led by Mr. Alawuba, assumed leadership in August 2022, and since then, they have achieved remarkable success, breaking profit records and witnessing transformative growth in both the international and African markets.

In his address, Mr. Alawuba expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated and talented team members for their commitment to the bank’s customer-centric vision and their spirit of execution, which has resulted in numerous successes over the past 12 months. He praised their collective efforts that have solidified UBA’s position as a leading financial institution in the region and celebrated major business wins across various markets.

“We have improved our financial performance, enhanced customer service delivery, and are well on our way to achieving a more connected Brand. These achievements have not only strengthened the bank’s standing but have also laid a solid foundation for even greater accomplishments in the future,” Mr. Alawuba remarked.

The GMD emphasized that UBA will not rest on its laurels and will continue to focus on three levers of transformation, namely People, Process, and Technology. He stressed the importance of engaging stakeholders to drive progress across all aspects of the bank’s operations and reiterated his commitment to continuous engagement across all geographies to keep UBA at the forefront of the financial industry.
