Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni yesterday swore in the 20 new commissioners.
Addressing the commissioners during the ceremony, Governor Buni announce their portfolios as follows: Alhaji Aji Yerima Bularafa – Ministry of Wealth Creation; Ali Mustapha Goniri – Ministry of Agriculture; Hon. Ya Jalo Badama – Ministry of Women Affairs; Hon. Musa Mustapha – Ministry of Transport and Energy; Ahmed Buba Abba Kyari – Ministry of Housing; Engr. Usman Ahmed – Ministry of Water Resources; Alhaji Mohammed Abatcha Gaidam – Ministry of Finance.
Others are: Kaigama Umar Yunusari – Ministry of Commerce; Alhaji Ibrahim Adamu Jajere – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; Alhaji Yusuf Umar Potiskum – Ministry of Religion Affairs; Barr. Saleh Samanja – Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice; Professor Mohammed Bello Kawuwa – Ministry of Higher education; Engr. Umar Wakil Dudaye – Ministry of Works; Hon. Abdullahi Bego – Ministry of Home Affairs Information and Culture.
Dr. Mairo Amshi – Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management; Hon. Mohammed Gagiyo – Ministry of Budget and Planning; Dr. Mohammed Lawan Gana – Ministry of Health; Hon Sidi Yakubu Karasuwa – Ministry of Environment;
Dr. Mohammed Sani Idriss – Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education and
Barma Shettima – Ministry of Youth and Sports.
He charged them to double their commitment for further development of the state.
Governor Buni also said his resolve to attain an administration of credibility and integrity informed the appointment of people of impeccable character and high integrity as commissioners.
