NEPC, Zeenab Foods Limited Sensitize Exporters On GACC

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) and Zeenab Foods Ltd (Operators of the Nigerian export trade house China/Far East Region) organizes a sensitization program today, August 28th, 2023 in Kano to enlighten Nigerian exporters on the requirements and standards set by Chinese customs authorities.

This sensitization exercise, which is one among several occurring in different states across the federation aims to provide Nigerian exporters with comprehensive information and guidance on the necessary procedures for exporting Agro commodities to China and Fareast Region, which includes adhering to product quality standards, packaging specifications, labeling requirements, and necessary documentation to navigate the export process smoothly and efficiently.

The Managing Director of Zeenab Foods Limited, Mr Victor Ayemere was excited to inform the attendees about the activities of the Nigerian Export Trade House in China/Far-East region while emphasizing on the advantages of utilizing NEPC’s initiatives and encouraging the attendees to embrace export. He said there are confirmed buyers who are eager to purchase their agricultural commodities when they export through Zeenab Foods Limited.

The event featured esteemed dignitaries and industry experts. Notable attendees included the Regional Coordinator NEPC North West, a Representative of the ED/CEO of NEPC, the Managing Director of Zeenab Foods Limited,Chairman Dawanau Market Development Association- Alh. Muttaka Isah, Chairman Cassia tora trade Association Kano – Alh. Yusuf Sarauniya , Alh. Ismaila Maruf, Alh. Abumarazu Muhammed, Alh. Hamisu Suleiman from Kafanchan, Alh. Bana Banki and representatives from both NEPC and Zeenab Foods.

The initiative will undoubtedly help enhance the competitiveness of Nigerian products in the Chinese market, ultimately fostering stronger trade relations between the two countriesand minimizing the risk of delays or rejections at the Chinese customs border, thereby facilitating a more seamless and successful export experience.

The highlight of the event was the contract signing session, as Zeenab Foods Limited the Operators of the Nigerian Export Trade House China / Far East region issued export contracts to five companies, in its effort to facilitate and boost non – oil exports.
